*Mini* Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

This morning, Walt Disney World announced plans for the holiday season at the resort.  And after learning that Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party would be replaced in 2021 by a scaled down version called Boo Bash, many were hoping to see the return of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

So good news/bad news.

Good News?  Walt Disney World will have a holiday after-hours party event.

Bad News?  It’s not MVMCP.  Instead, Disney will again deploy a scaled down version called Disney’s Very Merriest After Hours.  So we’ll keep it short and sweet:

Here is what you get:

  • Castle projections
  • Characters around the parks
  • Holiday treats
  • Minnie’s Christmas Fireworks
Here is what you won’t see:
  • Dream Lights on Cinderella Castle
  • Holiday parade
  • Character Meet/Greets
Whether or not these changes to the Halloween/Holiday after hours events is limited to 2021remains to be seen.  Disney certainly seems to be testing the waters to see how much they can cancel whilst still charging the same park/resort fees.  If demand continues to remain high for these scaled back versions, it’s fair to think it might be something that Disney sticks with for the foreseeable future.
